Ilker Pehlivan was a Turkish police officer who was killed in the line of duty during an operation targeting ISIS/Daesh in Yalova on 29 December 2025. His name is remembered with duty, courage, and sacrifice.

Early life and education

Pehlivan was registered to Tozlu village in the Kadirli district of Osmaniye. His early years were shaped by family values, local culture, and a strong sense of responsibility—traits that later defined his professional life.

A formal ceremony was held in Yalova. Following the funeral prayer after noon at Yalova Central Mosque, he was buried at the Yalova Police Martyrs’ Cemetery. The burial location was set in line with the family’s request.
